BBC News School Report 2017

Today schools across the country are taking part in BBC News School Report, giving 11-16 year-old students the chance to make their own news reports for a real audience. At Freebrough Academy, students from Year 7 & 8 are currently writing news articles and recording news reports.

News they are reporting on includes; technology, bullying, gaming and much more. All of their news reports will be available on their webpage later in the day so keep an eye out for updates. Please click this link to take you to their BBC News School Report webpage.

Adam Clarkson, BBC Tees Broadcasting Journalist joined the team to record a radio broadcast which led to two of our students also having the chance to interview Adam.

During the day the students will also be posting on social media about what they are doing.

Student news reporters include; Brooke, Ella, Emma, Caitlin, Robin, Callum, Kevin, Nathan, Bailey and Reuben.
