It was fantastic to see so many parents and potential students at our open evening on Tuesday 22 September 2015. Parents and children were warmly welcomed by Freebrough staff and students and shown into our large atrium, where they had the opportunity to hear from our Principal Mrs Linda Halbert, as well as a number of student speakers including our Head Boy Billy Scott and our Head Girl Lucy Hoggarth.
We are really excited at Freebrough Academy to launch our new healthy food menus and are sure you will understand the importance of providing students with a healthy balanced diet.
As part of the School Food Plan, a new set of standards for all food served in schools has been launched by the Department for Education. These became mandatory in all maintained schools, and new Academies from January 2015. As best practice and to promote a healthy lifestyle our new menus meet the new standards.
At Freebrough Academy communicating with parents/carers, is an important part of what we do. Making sure you get the correct information about parents’ evenings and academic tutoring days, are things that really matter, and are something we care about.
We will now be using Parents’ Evening Manager (PEM) by ParentMail, a service used by over 6,000 schools, nurseries and children’s clubs to communicate to parents. Parents’ Evening Manager will be beneficial to you because:
