We are delighted to announce that our Time 4 You Psychological Services, Clinical Service Director, Sandra Bell received a ‘special invitation’ to Buckingham Palace in honour of World Mental Health Day on Tuesday 10 October 2017.
Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry hosted a national celebration on mental health at Buckingham Palace for World Mental Health Day. A reception was also held to celebrate the work of those who had made a real difference in raising awareness of mental health.

When your child tells you they are going to a friend’s house or asks to ‘sleep out’ they may not always be where you think they are!
- Speak to your child about where they are going every time they go out and if they ask to sleep out at a friend’s ask Who, Where & When.
- Always tell your child if they ask for a ‘sleep out’ you will speak to their friend’s parent/carer to confirm
- Follow this up!
- Explain every time they go out and or ask to sleep over at friends you will ask questions and do a SAFE check because you are responsible to protect them.
Please note – Students will leave at 1.00 pm today via their usual method of transport.

We have had a brilliant first term to the 2017-2018 academic year and we look forward to all of the students arriving back to the academy at the normal time on Monday 8 January 2018 for the start of the spring term.

After six weeks of preparation and numerous hours, in and out of school, Project MENKA successfully pitched their idea to the MFC judges in the Premier League Enterprise Challenge 2017/18 at the Riverside Stadium. The judges included former Middlesbrough and Manchester United legend Gary Pallister, and the Chief Operating officer at MFC Mark Ellis.
