Our Facilities

In December 2012 our new state-of-the-art enterprise centre opened its doors. The new building physically stands alone from the main Academy building but is linked through curriculum, staffing and ethos.

There is a modern cafΓ© in the centre which serves drinks and light snacks throughout the day. You are also able to access the main Academy restaurant for a more substantial meal at lunchtime.

The centre is equipped with superb ICT facilities including industry standard equipment to provide a realistic work environment as well as powerful workstations, iPads and netbooks.

Facilities to support courses in engineering, health and social care and creative media provide opportunities for you to develop skills, expertise and qualifications in the new and developing industries in the region as well as providing you with the opportunities to seek employment nationally and globally. The centre is also equipped with an industry standard recording studio.

Our incubation pods will give you the space and facilities you require to start your own business from the age of 16. You will be further supported in your business venture by mentors and coaches with a wide range of expertise to help you to become a successful young entrepreneur.

The facilities at the centre and the expertise of our students are used to benefit our wider family of primary and secondary schools and the local community. This means you will have opportunities for real life work experience that will look fantastic on university applications and your CV.

The centre is fully accessible to those with disabilities.
