Redcar and Cleveland Secondary Olympics – Medal winning Freebrough team

On Wednesday 29 June 2016, Freebrough Academy took part in the Redcar and Cleveland Secondary Olympics. This consisted of a wide-range of breath taking events: shot put, rounders, cycling and more…

Freebrough were fantastic on the day and showed true finesse; furthermore, our students showed true Olympic values and more importantly grit and resilience through the day. Overall we feel Freebrough tried their very best.

Here are our fantastic results:

Wheelchair basketball: 3rd (Bronze)

Handball: 2nd (Silver)

Rounders: 1st (Gold)

Girls cycling: 2nd (Silver)

Boys cycling: 5th

Athletics: 6th
