University Explained, Parent and Carer Event – 4 November 2017
It’s not just students who need support when considering university. Parents and carers often have just as many questions about the decisions their child is making regarding higher education and most importantly, whether their decisions are the right ones.
We would therefore like to invite you and your son, daughter or ward to the ‘University Explained, Parent and Carer Event’ taking place at Durham University on Saturday 4 November, 9.30 am – 2.15 pm (lunch will be provided). This is a joint event run in collaboration with the North East Raising Aspiration Partnership and the five North East universities and is aimed at parents and carers of students in Year 10 to Year 12/first-year College but is open to anyone who would like to find out more about higher education.
This event can help you to support your child in the decisions they will have to make, give you pointers to consider and provide relevant information about higher education and the five universities in the North East. The event offers a range of optional informal sessions, to give you the opportunity to tailor the programme to best suit your needs and to ensure you have your questions answered as well as explaining where to look for further details.
This event is free to attend but you will need to book a place using the NERAP website on www.nerap.ac.uk.
If you have any further questions please call 0191 208 3128.
