Freebrough Daring Greatly Sports Day – Thursday 20 July 2017
Freebrough will be hosting their ‘Daring Greatly’ games this year on Thursday 20 July 2017, which is during the final week of term. All students will be involved in the day doing numerous activities representing their tutor group and small school.
As the games will take place outside I would advise if the day is particularly warm that students are protected with sun cream and may wish to bring additional sun cream to apply throughout the day, as well as a hat to protect their head. Hydration is also important so an intake of fluids throughout the day will be recommended. In the event of bad weather extra layers of clothing such as a jacket or hoody would be appropriate.
Students should also arrive appropriately dressed for the day in sportswear; for example a T shirt and some tracksuit bottoms. Vest tops will not be appropriate for the day. Please also ensure that your child brings their training shoes to allow them to participate in the day’s events which will be ranging from rounders, volleyball, tag rugby, ‘old skool’ events (sack races etc) and bench ball.
To demonstrate being part of a small school students can aim to wear some of their small school colours. Please see below for guidance:
- Aspiration- blue
- Inspiration- red
- Innovation- green
- Motivation- yellow
This is a great way to finish a brilliant school year and a great opportunity for students to demonstrate their daring greatly qualities.
Thank you in anticipation for your support. We look forward to good weather and an enjoyable day for all involved.
