Key Stage 4 Maths

Students follow the new maths GCSE that includes functional skills. It is a two year course, however when a student is identified to be working around a GCSE grade C they are given the option for early entry either in year 10 or year 11.

There are two tiers of entry; both enable a student to achieve the magic grade C that colleges and employers look for. Each tier consists of two exam papers, one that allows a calculator and one that does not.

Foundation tier examines students on maths skills from grade G to grade C.  Higher tier examines students on maths skills from grade D to grade A* .
