Positive changes to support students’ success
This academic year we have made changes to the way that we structure our parents’ evenings. Now known as ‘Supporting Success’ evenings, the first of these events, which was for Year 11 parents, brought with it lots of positive feedback.
The new format is now based in classrooms whereas previously this was done in the large atrium. Allowing parents to visit the Academy and get a feel for student workspaces, the change also allows them to see some more of their child’s work.
Here are a few examples of feedback from parents…
“There was lots more space.”
“It was great to see my son’s work.”
“Lots of support from staff with revision materials”
Staff also stated: “It felt more relaxed and there was a better atmosphere.”
