Skin Cancer Super Pill
A wonder pill has been introduced for cancer patients that allow them to live longer. It is the biggest breakthrough in skin cancer for 30 years. This pill can help patients with even the most aggressive form of the disease live a longer and happier life. Vemurafenib, is a twice a day pill that targets a gene found in half of the malignant melanomas.
Shortly after giving birth doctors spotted a cancerous lump on Mrs Underwoods leg. The cancer spread to her left lung and brain and she had to receive radiotherapy, she was given the pill and within weeks the cancer in her brain had disappeared while all other tumours have halved in size. The drug has now been licensed in the UK after a review of the EU commission.
