Mr Donnison - Assistant Principal/Head of School

I am proud to be the Head of School Innovation here at Freebrough Academy.

 As Head of School, I am responsible for ensuring that all students within my small school have the support and resources they need to be able to perform to the best of their ability in all aspects of Academy life.  

Along with my pastoral leader, student progress leader and team of tutors, I carefully monitor the students of Innovation, ensuring that they are all making progress in their subject areas and that they are happy at school.

My vision is for all of our students to leave the Academy fully prepared with the skills and qualifications they need to create a rewarding and happy future for themselves.

I have very high expectations of myself and my team but I also have high expectations of the students within my small school and expect, without exception, that all students work hard and treat each other with respect.

Miss A Hollinshead – Pastoral Leader

 

As the Pastoral Leader for school Innovation I work alongside the Head of School, the Student Progress Leader and the Learning Support Assistant to support students with any academic, social, emotional or behavioural issues or concerns that they may have.

My responsibilities also include promoting the highest standards of attendance and behaviour by working with students, parents, tutors and the Academy Attendance Officer. My aim is for students to learn in a positive environment, for them to feel safe in the Academy and for their experiences here to be happy ones.

I am also the lead person for the Head Boys and Girls and the Academy Councils, so I am always on the look out for potential candidates!
