Unlike other subjects maths is not topic based with each year group following one curriculum. We use a skills based curriculum, so student’s work in lessons is not based on their year group but on their level.

Students follow one of four pathways

KS2 maths SAT Level 6

Year 7 students will cover some level 6 and some level 7

Year 8 students will cover level 7 and some level 8

Year 9 students will cover all aspects of level 8 +

 

KS2 maths SAT Level 5

Year 7 students will cover some level 5 and some level 6

Year 8 students will cover level 6 and some level 7

Year 9 students will cover level 7; some students may cover aspects of level 8

 

KS2 maths SAT Level 4

Year 7 students will cover some level 4 and some level 5

Year 8 students will cover level 5 and some level 6

Year 9 students will cover level 6; some students may cover aspects of level 7
