At KS3 students follow an enriched curriculum that includes exciting and fulfilling schemes of work; giving them access to a broad and balanced experience through looking at different dance styles and techniques using a variety of stimuli. All schemes of work link directly to the Physical Education National Curriculum Specification. Areas of study include the following:
- Exploring the use of basic choreographic devices and the creation of shape and form.
- Developing movement motifs and structuring dance pieces based around themes.
- Learning complex movement material and contact work.
