Psychology Success
Our year 10 Psychology students are working extra hard to complete their GCSE a year early.
The students decided to put in the extra effort now so that they can begin an AS level in Psychology next year which they can then complete at A level the following year. This will put them a year ahead of their peers from other local schools. They are currently studying the origins of criminal behaviour, body language, cognitive development and self-esteem.
Miss Baynes, teacher of psychology, tells us more about her subject: “Psychology is the study of the mind and human behaviour. Psychology can lead students onto many different successful career pathways which include becoming an educational, forensic, clinical or occupational psychologist. Psychology graduates are also sought after in careers in law, criminology, education and social work. These are all professions which are well respected and also well paid.”
Well done to all of the students involved
