We want to enable each student to develop confidence, understanding, experience and skills that can be used throughout their lives, and to ensure that the local community benefits from the Academys facilities and has a positive input into the experience of young people at school.

Teesside University is proud to be lead sponsor of Freebrough Academy. As the local university for Tees Valley with over 30,000 students, we are a national leader in raising aspirations and encouraging progress into higher education for all young people. We were delighted to be given the accolade of University of the Year for 2009/10 and are proud of our commitment to our local community.

Prior Pursglove College
Prior Pursglove College is committed to making close links with its partner organisations and as an official sponsor of Freebrough Academy we hope to strengthen that commitment. We plan to work collaboratively to get the best possible outcomes for both learners and the community, raising aspirations and doing what we can to support young people and adults to make the most of their opportunities by offering our expertise in this specialism.
We are a Sixth Form College with a long history of providing an excellent educational experience for our students. We specialise in full time courses for the 16-19 age group, providing a very wide range of Advanced level and Intermediate courses which can be taken in any combination. We also offer an extensive range of adult education and leisure courses.
This is an exciting time in the history of our college. In May 2011 we celebrated our 450th anniversary, there having been educational provision on our campus since 1561. We are proud of our historical heritage and confident that both the college and Freebrough Academy have a bright future ahead.
