Yesterday, eight students from Freebrough Academy became news reporters for the day, taking part in the annual BBC News School Report where schools across the UK turn their classrooms into newsrooms for the day.
Say hello to this year’s Freebrough Academy BBC News School Report team…Toni-Leigh, Erika, Sian, Elise, Zach, Amber, Jessica and Jessica. They spent the day creating the latest news which mattered to them as the youth of today.

READ! READ! WIN!
A new reading competition has been launched in the Learning Resource Centre called, ‘Passes Pick Up Prizes’.
It is running alongside Accelerated Reading and it means that when a student takes a quiz and passes it at 85%-100% they will receive a raffle ticket. Each student will then be entered in to a draw which will be held after Tuesday 5 June 2018, where they could win a Kindle Fire or iPad, footballs, rugby balls, books and stationery.
Open Mic Friday
Mrs Brown is looking for pupils to audition and sing in the atrium one Friday every month.
For more details please speak to Mrs Brown.
