In February a group of Year 7 and Year 9 students travelled to Disneyland Paris to meet representatives from some of the UK and Europe’s biggest companies.
Parents were invited on Tuesday 28 February 2017 for afternoon tea to discuss accelerating their child’s progress. The event was a huge success with parents enjoying not only the refreshments, but also finding out ways to support their child making progress. Assistant Directors of Learning from maths, English and science were all present to provide helpful tips for parents and students.
Students are asked to make a £1 donation and all of the proceeds will be donated to Comic Relief.
Today schools across the country are taking part in BBC News School Report, giving 11-16 year-old students the chance to make their own news reports for a real audience. At Freebrough Academy, students from Year 7 & 8 are currently writing news articles and recording news reports.
Our March issue of the Freebrough Flyer, a 12 page supplement in the Coastal View & Moors News is now available to view online. To view, please click the thumbnail of the front page of the flyer to open a PDF version. The flyer includes lots of great news stories about what has been happening during the first term of the academic year in Freebrough Academy, Post 16 @ Freebrough and our feeder primary schools. Also included are our Superstar Students for each faculty and we hope that parents/carers will congratulate their child on the recognition of their hard work and effort.
Thank you to all the staff members and primaries who contributed, the next edition of the Freebrough Flyer will be available to read during the summer term.
