The FAB team visited Handale Primary school on Thursday 19 November 2015 to work with 37 Y5 students during Anti Bullying Week. The Handale students took part in an anti-bullying quiz led by the FAB team. Students were each given a piece of red and green card which they had to use to make the decision on which was the right answer. Students were then asked to take part in our FAB competition in which they had to design a flyer for the students at Freebrough. The flyers were amazing and the FAB team are going to find it extremely difficult to choose a winner. The winning flyer will be used in the academy, given to students who have demonstrated the FAB values.

A number of students chosen from Year 7 are participating in an Active/Positive Citizen programme this half term. The programme is one lesson per week for a ten week period and is taking place here in the Academy.

Takeover Challenge is a national event organised by the Children’s Commissioner. Takeover is a fun, hugely successful and exciting children and young people’s engagement project which sees organisations across England opening their doors to children and young people to take over adult roles.
